Organisational Development

We have a clear vision for the future of the organisation based on provision of clinically sustainable services provided by a high quality workforce.  This vision is underpinned by our five core values:

  • Achievement

Organisational development is about how we plan to take the organisation forward so that it can meet the challenges ahead. 

Our strategy for 2010-12 includes:

  • Establishing a common purpose for hospital and community based services
  • Development of the Trust based on core values and behaviours, including a high quality patient experience and sustainability and growth
  • The value the Trust places on involvement/engagement of staff, service users, patients and its wider stakeholders
  • Talent Management and Leadership Development
  • Devolution, of accountability and responsibility for the provision of services
  • Workforce Development, ensuring effective development and performance management of staff to bring about: performance improvement and/or personal growth, involvement of staff in continuous learning and service improvement and development of a flexible workforce able to adapt rapidly to change.
  • Structure & Processes needed to support efficient and effective working and the development of the workforce
  • Organisational culture
  • Increasing capacity and capability including Leadership, Operational Planning, Workforce Planning and Service Improvement.
