Consultant Paediatrician, Designated Doctor for Child Protection Divisional, Director for Woman Children and Sexual Health Services

A St Andrew's and Manchester Graduate who ended up on a North East junior doctor rotation for Paediatrics. My senior rotation was between Portsmouth and Southampton but I also had two great years of Paediatric Intensive Care experience in Vancouver and Melbourne. We came back to the North East in October 1996 and had thirteen great years in South Tyneside, before moving to Co Durham and Darlington to be closer to home and to take on the new Designated Doctor Role. I was then lucky enough to be appointed as Clinical Director for Women's, Children's & Sexual Health which provides new and fascinating challenges.
