Melanie Laing nominated Stephanie for an NHS Heroes award as she described Stephanie as a fantastic midwife, who was a great help to her when their first baby died at 4 days old. Then when she discovered she was expecting again Stephanie was there again and was very supportive throughout the pregnancy. Now, baby number three has just been born and Stephanie was there for her and her family again to talk through their worries and concerns, giving them reassurance when it was needed and offering support. Melanie also said without her support her pregnancies would have been a lot scarier.
