Sue Hogg was nominated by Debbie Richardson who is a nurse on the day surgery unit at Darlington Memorial Hospital. She was presented with her certificate by Anne Holt.

Debbie said: "Being a nurse myself and having had babies, I needed a midwife that is knowledgeable and can put me instantly at ease.  Sue went out of her way to make that experience possible.  She has repeated this with my second pregnancy, words cannot say how much this means to me and my husband at such a special but worrying time.  She talks in a no-nonsense, non-jargon way that I respect and appreciate.  I would be lost without her during my pregnancies and think she deserves recognition for what she has achieved."
