County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust has launched a new bariatric service with out-patient appointments, pre-surgery seminars and surgery being delivered from Darlington Memorial Hospital.
The Trust has two bariatric surgeons: Mr Akeil Samier, who has recently moved up from Somerset to join the Trust, and Mr Andy Gilliam, whom many GP colleagues will already know.
