Specialty Training

County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust works with the Northern Deanery, and its Specialty Schools, to provide training for Specialty Doctors across all specialties within its Clinical Divisions:

• Care Closer to Home
• Acute and Long Term Care
• Surgery and Diagnostics

The Specialty Training provision is co-ordinated by Divisional Tutors, who work with College Tutors and Specialty Leads to ensure the quality of education and training within the various specialties.

• Specialty Tutor - Mr. Peter Blakeman (Divisional link for Care Closer to Home)
• Associate Specialty Tutor - Mr. Jeremy Cundall (Divisional link for Surgery)
• Specilaty Tutors for Medicine - Dr. Namita Kumar (Trustwide) Dr. J. Crilley (South) and Dr. D. Kejarawal  (North)
