We are challenging 2020 businesses, groups, associations or individuals to sign a pledge to please raise £1000.00 for us during 2020 - from a direct donation to taking part in a challenge event - however you do it - please can you do it!

If you can take the challenge please click here  complete your pledge certificate then email to us at

We all know someone who has had, or is being treated for cancer and we all want our loved ones and friends to have the best facilities during their treatment. That is what we are seeking to achieve with our big build, transforming, the cancer unit to provide facilities that will support our patients during their treatment, give them space to relax or chat - some treatments can take between 4 - 6 hrs and can be exhausting for some patients.

The new unit will be based at University Hospital of North Durham providing a warm, caring and supportive environment that will give patients the energy and inspiration they need to help them through their treatment.

We would love you to support our appeal either by the 2020 Challenge route or making a direct donation to our Chemo Unit simply visit County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust Charity 'justgiving' website at:

'In recent times, I have utilised admissions to Richardson for respite direct from my fracture clinic, even at weekends. I have never worked anywhere with this efficiency before - it is reassuring and invaluable for the patient.'
