Congratulations Leigh McLeavey

Trainee Nursing Associate, Leigh McLeavey, who is based as the Centre for Sexual Health at Bishop Auckland Hospital, has recently earned a tremendous accolade from Teesside University. She is their Trainee Nursing Associate of the year!

Dr Susan Ralph, Consultant Genito-Urinary Medicine said: "From the moment she joined the service it was clear we had appointed a talent. Leigh is a terrific team player, full of initiative, always goes the extra mile and is never without a smile on her face, even during the most challenging shifts.

"We have watched her positively blossom during this period of study and look forward to working with her as a fully-fledged Nursing Associate later this year."

From your colleagues at Bishop Auckland and the #TeamCDDFT family our warmest congratulations Leigh - a tremendous achievement that is thoroughly deserved!

'As I was very, very nervous, I must have been the worst patient ever and they were brilliant with me and I can't thank them enough - could you please pass on my sincere thanks.'
