Local football team makes TV donation

Many thanks to the All-Stars Darlington 21st under 13 colts football team for the donation of a new TV screen for the patient waiting area on the chemotherapy unit at Darlington Memorial Hospital.

The TV was presented by team coach Andrew Blair, caption of the under 13s Alex Blair, vice caption Abbie Philips and team secretary Mandy Philips.

The team raised money through the raffles, the teas and coffee mornings.

Maureen Flatman, ward sister said: "This is a lovely gesture from the local team and it is much appreciated. We have a lovely unit and ward area and the TV fits in very well in the waiting area."

'The treatment I have received from all the staff has been excellent and could you extend my thanks to them all. A very thankful and relieved patient'.
