Dr Dinakaran Jayachandran

Consultant in General Paediatrics

Dr Jayachandran graduated in India and did his postgraduate MD (Paediatrics) in India. He worked in the West Midlands, before moving to the North East for his specialty training. He worked in sub specialties including neurology, renal and neonates during his training. He has been working as a consultant at Darlington Memorial since June 2010.

Dr Jayachandran has extensive experience and is a well-rounded General Paediatrician. He has developed a special interest in musculo-skeletal and also maintains his interest in renal, epilepsies and neonates. He also manages children with infantile (strawberry) haemangioma, who need medical treatment with propranolol. He carries out clinics at Bishop Auckland Hospital and Darlington Memorial Hospital. He is the specialty tutor for the care group and is developing an interest in medical research.
