Graduated with merit from Newcastle University Medical School. Completed Basic Surgical Training and successfully passed MRCS exams. Spent 5yrs in Higher Specialist Training for Emergency Medicine in the Northern Deanery and successfully passed FCEM exams. Appointed as Consultant in Emergency Medicine at UHND September 2009.

Currently Departmental Clinical Lead for Paediatrics. Educational Supervisor for senior trainees & Trust Associate Specialist in Emergency Medicine. Clinical supervisor for junior doctors within the Emergency Department. Involved in ENP & undergraduate training. Run a 6 week SSC in Life Support for 4^th Year Medical Students. Teach on ATLS, EPLS and MedicALS.
