I attended medical school at the Myanmar Institute of Medicine (1), graduated and had foundation years training in Myanmar. I came to the UK in 1999 and passed MRCP UK in 2000. I have worked in the NHS since 2000, and gained my CCT from the Northern Deanery in geriatric medicine and general internal medicine in 2011.
I have been working as a consultant since 2011. My speciality interests during training years were Parkinson's disease and movement disorder, falls and syncope. I attended master classes for Parkinson's disease (for StR, consultant and Birmingham master classes) and am involved in research, audits and CPD meetings for Parkinson's disease. I am currently working at DMH as lead clinician for Parkinson's disease.
I am also the Trust lead clinician for the national dementia audit, and provide falls and syncope service on the Darlington site.
