I have worked in paediatric posts both in the UK and abroad (Australia and Malawi). I am now based at Bishop Auckland Hospital, providing an outpatient / community service for South Durham within a Child Development Team. I specialise in assessing and managing children with developmental difficulties or neurological disability (including learning disability and autism).
I also provide an outpatient service for the assessment and management of children and young people with epilepsy. I have a particular interest in improving palliative care services for children with life threatening or life limiting conditions, and am a member of the regional palliative care network.
'As I was very, very nervous, I must have been the worst patient ever and they were brilliant with me and I can't thank them enough - could you please pass on my sincere thanks.'
