I trained in General Medicine then specialised in Genitourinary Medicine.

I am committed to holistic sexual healthcare provision - in 2008 I introduced the first combined GUM and Contraception service in County Durham.

I have special interests in healthcare provision for young people, women's sexual health,  HIV medicine and genital dermatology.

I am committed to teaching and training and have regularly participated as an examiner in the Medical Students' CIDR MOSLER and OSCE assessments and a mock 'PACES' session for MRCP candidiates.

I am currently additionally training to become an FSRH Instructing Doctor.

Previous published research: Bacterial vaginosis at conception and first trimester miscarriage (BMJ Lancet and Brit J O&G).
