Mr Jeff Auyeung

Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon

Medical School at Cardiff. Basic Surgical Training in South Wales - includes Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery Higher Surgical Training in the Norther Deanery Advanced Trainig Post in Hand Surgery - Hand Surgery Fellowship at Wythenshawe Hospital Manchester rotating to Hope Hospital Salford and Wrightington Hospital Wigan. This was 70% with Plastic Surgery and 30% with Orthopaedic Surgery.   Area of interest includes all aspects of Hand and Wrist surgery i.e. Soft tissue and Bony Pathology as well as upper limb peripheral nerve complaints.

Mr Auyeung's clinical practice is almost solely hand and wrist surgery.  He deals with all aspects of this specialist area from soft tissue to bony and joint pathology.  The only area he doesn't cover is cancer.  He does see patients with certain elbow pathology.

He graduated from the University Of Wales College Of Medicine in 1998.  He had his basic training in South Wales.  Mr Auyeung moved to the North East to undertake higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics.  During his last year of training he was appointed to an Advanced Training Post in Hand surgery in Manchester (1 of 9 nationally available ones).  During this period he worked closely with Plastic and Orthopaedic hand surgeons to gain a full exposure in this chosen field of interest.
He has also gained the Postgraduate Diploma in Hand Surgery in 2010 to signify his special interest in this area of practice.

He is current clinical lead for hand surgery in the Orthopaedic department as well as clinical governance lead.

He takes part in a specialist hand surgery on-call rota in conjunction with his Plastic Surgery colleagues
