Subject Access Requests -
Under the Data Protection Act 1998, employees and ex-employees
have the right to gain access to personal information held about
them by the employer/ex-employer. This applies to both manual and
electronic information and includes the employee's personal file,
and also any separate sickness records, disciplinary records,
performance review notes, e-mails and so on.
There is an administrative charge of £10.00 to assist with the
cost of processing the request. Cheques should be made
payable to "County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust".
Please note that individuals do not have the right to demand to
view their personal file or other information 'immediately' and all
requests must be referred to the HR Department.
