Stroke

The Stroke Service provides a range of services including hyperacture care (including provision of thrombolysis for acute ischaemic stroke) out patient and in patient TIA assessment and also acute stroke care and rehabilitation. The service is currently provided across three sites. Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham provide hyperacute services and acute stroke care with rehabilitation services are provided at Bishop Auckland Hospital. Out patient services are currently provided at all three hospitals.
