Children's Physiotherapy

What is Physio?

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession with a science foundation. We aim to work with clients to promote their own health and wellbeing, by helping to restore movement and function to as near normal as possible when someone is affected by injury, illness or by developmental or other disability.

Static Dynamic Orthoses

Children's physiotherapy and occupational therapy services have successfully piloted the use of Static Dynamic Orthoses (lycra suiting) for children initially in the north of the county and latterly across the county.

The lycra suiting significantly improves posture, promotes the reduction in deformity and reduces admissions for corrective surgery.

'I have to compliment everyone on their pleasant persona and their expertise and knowledge. By the end of the 5 days, I did not feel as though I had been in a hospital ward and was very relaxed.'
