The profession of podiatry has developed from its origins in chiropody to become a medical speciality dealing with the assesment, diagosis and treatment of the lower limb.

 

  • Children's Nutrition and Diet

Nutrition and dietetics offer patient assessment, diagnosis, care planning, treatment and education.

 

  • Children's Occupational Therapy

The team provides input to children who reside or attend school full-time in County Durham and Darlington.

 

  • Children's Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a profession that uses physical methods, such as massage and manipulation, to promote healing.

 

  • Health Visitors

Health visiting teams provide a service to all families with children up to the age of five years.

 

  • School Nursing

The team is made up of school nurses, who are registered nurses with specialist qualifications in school nursing.
