Medical Physics

Medical Physics provides nuclear medicine and bone densitometry services from the University Hospital of North Durham and Darlington Memorial Hospital, with additional patient services also provided at the Durham site.

Medical Physics is part of a regional service that offers additional patient services at other hospital sites within the region.  Our mission is to provide a first class medical physics service that adds value to healthcare through regional integration and innovation.


Indirect patient services associated with quality assurance and calibration image quality and radiation dose measurement are delivered by the regional department.
