The Directorate of Radiology provides a Trust wide diagnostic imaging service across 7 sites.

The acute work of the Trust is concentrated at the University Hospital of North Durham and Darlington Memorial Hospital, which offer a full comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures, as well as substantial plain film reporting and ultrasound service.

The departments at DMH and UHND operate a 24/7 plain film and CT service. CLICK HERE for timetable

The department at Bishop Auckland Hospital offers a wide range of mainly outpatient based CT, plain film and ultrasound procedures. It also provides plain film imaging for the PCT urgent care/minor injury unit.

BAH operates 8.45am - 5pm Monday - Sunday in line with the Radiology service provided at Shotley Bridge hospital - CLICK HERE for timetable

All four sites, offer an open access service for plain film imaging during 9am - 4.30pm.

A range of plain film and ultrasound services are also provided at Stanley Health Centre, and Chester-le-Street and Sedgefield Community Hospitals. These support local out-patient clinics and general practitioners and provide diagnostic imaging in a community setting.
