Audiology

Currently we are following local hospital guidelines in line with Covid-19 restrictions which requires all patients to wear a face covering at all times within the hospital environment. Throughout your appointment Staff will be wearing full PPE and social distancing will be encouraged, where possible.

Please attend your appointment alone or with 1 accompanying adult/carer for a child or adult with additional needs.

If you need a Hearing Aid Repair or Batteries please contact the department for advice.

***All hearing aid batteries can now be posted to current County Durham & Darlington NHS trust hearing aid users when requested***

Hearing aid batteries for current County Durham & Darlington NHS trust hearing aid users can also be collected from the Audiology reception desks at University Hospital of North Durham and Darlington Memorial Hospital only.

Hearing aid repairs can also be dropped off at the Audiology reception desks at University Hospital of North Durham and Darlington Memorial Hospital only, however we cannot guarantee a same day turn around and we will contact you when the repair has been completed.
