Our dedicated, skilled and
experienced audiologists provide a comprehensive Audiology and
Hearing Aid Service across County Durham and Darlington. We offer
both adult and paediatric services covering hearing testing,
hearing aids, hearing therapy, tinnitus, balance and dizziness, and
bone anchored hearing aids.
Services are delivered via our
main centres at the University Hospital of North Durham and
Darlington Memorial Hospital. A number of clinics also take place
at various other locations within the community, including Bishop
Auckland Hospital, Shotley Bridge Hospital, Chester-le-Street
Community Hospital, Richardson Hospital (Barnard Castle), and
Sedgefield Community Hospital.
We are open from Monday to
Saturday, with appointments ranging from 8.00am - 6.00pm, reception
is open from 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday. We aim to offer
as much flexibility as possible.
Lost Hearing Aids - If you have
lost your hearing aid or ear mould or carelessly damaged it beyond
repair (e.g. dog chewed) you will be charged for this to be

We offer a Direct Access NHS Hearing Aid Issue Service for
anyone aged 18 years and over via a GP referral. All patients are
assessed within 6 weeks and will have their hearing aid
issued within a further 12 weeks.
