NHS Friends and Family Test

The Friends and Family Test (FFT) gives you, the patient, the opportunity to provide feedback about the care and treatment you've received.

Good patient experience is associated with improved patient outcomes. It is therefore important that we collect regular feedback from patients, and take action to address any areas of poor patient experience.

You'll be asked to complete a FFT questionnaire before you leave hospital, if you have had an inpatient episode, attended and left the A&E department, or are pregnant or have had a baby.

The results of the FFT are published on the NHS Choices website, so that patients and members of the public can see how their local services are viewed by those who have used them. The patient feedback will be available by ward name and specialty for each hospital site.

At the Trust, we've now rolled out the FFT questionnaire  to Urgent Care Centres, Community Hospitals, District Nursing Services and community teams, Outpatients and Daycase areas.

Patient can also complete the FFT questionnaire online by going to the iWantGreatCare website at http://cdd.iwgc.net .
