Guidance on Study Leave and How to Apply

Health Education England North East (HEE NE) have now gone live with a new study leave system - Accent Leave Manager.

Please watch the Accent Leave Manager Video for guidance on the new system.

HEE NE have also developed a guidance and FAQ's document to provide important information to assist Doctors in Training when applying for study leave using Accent Leave Manager.

Study Leave Request Process for LET Junior Medical Staff

 

1. Meet with your Educational Supervisor

 

2. Plan your study leave

 

3. Apply for Study Leave approval via Access Leave Manager

 

RETROSPECTIVE CLAIMS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED

 

5. You will be able to check the progress of your application on Accent Leave Manager. You will also recieve email notifciation of approvals.

 

6. There may be comments and conditions. Please read these carefully and agree them before going on leave.

 

7. Discuss any concerns with a member of the Medical Education Team before you attend the study leave experience.

 

8. Attend study leave

 

9. Discuss the study leave experience with your Educational Supervisor

 

10. Arrange an appropriate opportunity to feedback this experience to your group

 

11. Enter claim and receipts on EASY EXPENSES or your reimbursement, this will then be checked by LET payroll for payment.
