Last week, members of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust’s Executive Team and Board met with representatives from the Trust's LGBTQ+ Staff Network to demonstrate their ongoing support for the group and its important work.

Attendees included Kristina Stevens, LGBTQ+ Staff Network Lead; Thomas McGarry-Jobling, Chair of the LGBTQ+ Staff Network Group; and Alex O’Brien, Workforce Experience Officer (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion).

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on the Network’s progress, share ideas and discuss priorities for the year ahead.

It also served to reaffirm the Trust’s strong commitment to inclusive staff networks that are led by lived experience and champion the voices of all colleagues.

The Board and Executive Team expressed their full backing for the Network’s continued efforts to build a more inclusive, respectful and supportive workplace for everyone across the organisation.

Staff networks play a vital role in shaping the culture of #TeamCDDFT, and the LGBTQ+ Staff Network continues to lead the way in creating space for meaningful conversations, allyship and change.
