Do you, or someone you know, look after someone who couldn’t manage without your support?

This event is open to anyone who looks after someone, and isn’t being employed to do so  - it could be a loved one, friend or neighbour - anyone who relies on them for daily care and support. Many unpaid carers often don’t recognise themselves as such, and this event aims to help them feel seen, supported, and empowered.

The Caers Roadshow will bring together local organisations, health professionals, and support services under one roof to offer:

  • Practical advice and guidance tailored to the needs of unpaid carers
  • Information on local resources and services available to carers
  • Opportunities to connect with others in similar roles
  • Emotional and practical support and guidance about wellbeing and self-care
  • Refreshments available to purchase and a warm, welcoming space

This is not only a chance for carers to get support, but also to take a moment for themselves – something that is often difficult to prioritise when caring for others.

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is committed to recognising and supporting unpaid carers, ensuring they have access to the information, resources and wellbeing support they need.
