The Procurement team at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) is celebrating a major achievement after three of its members were recognised at the 2025 North East and Cumbria Procurement Skills Development Network (SDN) Awards.

Held to celebrate outstanding contributions across the region, this year’s awards highlighted excellence, dedication and innovation within NHS procurement – and CDDFT was proud to see its team members among the winners.

As the Procurement Systems Trainer, he has trained countless colleagues and is widely respected for his clear and effective teaching style, as well as his expert knowledge of the Cardea system and procurement processes.

Paul’s professionalism and dedication were rightfully recognised with this award.

With more than 34 years at the Trust – starting in Finance before moving into Procurement – Dave has become an integral part of the service, known for his experience, wisdom and calm, logical approach.

Over the past decade, he has supported the Associate Director of Procurement and acted as a trusted advisor to colleagues across CDDFT and SCL.

As Dave prepares for his retirement next year, this award serves as a fitting tribute to his invaluable contributions to the NHS.
