Fraud awareness – support, advice and information session

As part of Fraud Awareness Week (15-21 November 2026), staff, patients, visitors and members of the public are invited to speak with Counter Fraud Specialist Steven Sherwood-Hodgson from Audit-One at information stands across the Trust.

Steven will be available at University Hospital of North Durham on Monday 16 November from 12pm to 2pm.

The sessions will provide an opportunity to learn more about fraud, including the warning signs to look out for, how fraud can affect the NHS and the wider community, and the different ways suspicious activity can be reported. Visitors will be able to ask questions and find out more about protecting themselves and public resources from fraud. Everyone is welcome to drop by, find out more about fraud prevention, and learn how reporting concerns can help safeguard NHS services.
