In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week (9–15 February 2026), the apprenticeship team at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is hosting a series of drop-in information sessions across the Trust’s main hospital sites.
These sessions provide an excellent opportunity for staff and members of the local community to explore apprenticeship options and learn how they can earn while they learn.
Apprenticeships offer existing staff the chance to develop their skills and advance their careers, while also creating accessible pathways for new talent to enter the NHS workforce.
Whether you are considering an apprenticeship for yourself or your team, these sessions will provide valuable insights into the opportunities available.
Drop-in Information Sessions – National Apprenticeship Week 2026:

Darlington Memorial Hospital (outside Hollies) – Tuesday 10 February, 1pm–2pm

University Hospital of North Durham (Restaurant) – Wednesday 11 February, 12 noon–1pm

Bishop Auckland Hospital (Restaurant) – Thursday 12 February, 12 noon–1pm
The Training and Development and Practice Education teams will continue to visit these sites regularly, providing ongoing support for those interested in apprenticeships.
