On Wednesday 18 June, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) proudly joins organisations across the UK to mark National Healthcare Estates and Facilities Day 2025 – a day dedicated to recognising and celebrating the vital contributions of the people who keep our NHS running behind the scenes.

From cleaning and catering to clinical engineering, capital projects, transport and procurement, our Estates, Facilities, and Procurement teams play a crucial role in delivering safe, effective care every day.

  • CELL, Endoscopy Decontamination, Sterile Services

  • Medical Devices, Property and Capital Management

  • Patient and Retail Catering, Car Parking, Security, Switchboard, Portering and Waste Services

Repair staff 2.jpgThese teams often work quietly in the background, but their efforts are essential to the patient journey – ensuring our buildings are maintained, environments are clean and safe, and everything from hospital meals to life-saving equipment is ready when needed.
