Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) across County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust are being celebrated on Tuesday 14 October for the vital role they play in supporting patients, families and communities.
AHPs Day is an opportunity to recognise the expertise, compassion and innovation these colleagues bring to healthcare every day.
AHPs make up the third largest workforce in the NHS and include physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, radiographers, podiatrists, speech and language therapists, paramedics and many other specialist professions.
Together, they play an essential role in supporting recovery, promoting independence and improving the health and wellbeing of our patients and communities.
Over the past two weeks, we’ve introduced some of the professions represented across our Trust on our social media channels. T
