On Friday, June 20, #TeamCDDFT proudly joined the national celebration of Red4Research Day, a powerful campaign that shines a spotlight on the people who make research in health and social care possible.

From patients and participants to healthcare professionals, volunteers, and behind-the-scenes teams, Red4Research Day is about acknowledging the collective effort that fuels innovation, improves treatments, and ultimately saves lives.

Colleagues across the Trust came together in a sea of red, donning the colour to show their appreciation and raise awareness about the crucial role research plays in the advancement of healthcare.

The vibrant display was not just a show of support, it was a visible reminder of our shared commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

“Research doesn’t just happen – people make it happen.”

This year’s celebration highlighted the diversity of contributions that drive research forward.

Whether delivering studies, supporting data collection, coordinating participants, or volunteering in trials, each role is essential in the journey from discovery to delivery.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone across the Trust who contributes to research in any capacity. Your passion, expertise, and dedication are helping shape a healthier future for all.
