Colleagues at Chester-le-Street Community Hospital recently welcomed Trust Chairman, Professor Richard Scothon, as part of his ongoing visits across County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust.

During the visit, Professor Scothon had the opportunity to meet with staff and learn more about the vital services delivered at the hospital.

Speaking with ward teams, he heard about the complex needs they support and saw first-hand the exceptional skill, compassion, and professionalism with which patients are cared for every day.

The hospital teams, are known for their strong teamwork and patient-centred approach, shared how they work together to deliver safe, high-quality care tailored to the needs of the local community.

The visit was an opportunity to acknowledge the impact of community-based care and celebrate the staff who continue to go above and beyond for their patients and colleagues.
