Patients, visitors and staff are invited to enjoy the sounds of Christmas through a special broadcast from Prince Bishops Hospital Radio (PBHR) this Christmas Day.
The Christmas Carol services held in the chapels at Darlington Memorial Hospital and Bishop Auckland Hospital will be shared in a dedicated programme, airing at midday on Christmas Day.
The broadcast offers a gentle opportunity to pause, reflect and enjoy the familiar music of the festive season, wherever people are in the hospitals.
Prince Bishops Hospital Radio can be accessed in several ways:
-
Channel 1 on Hospedia at Darlington Memorial Hospital and Bishop Auckland Hospital
-
In public areas across both hospitals
-
Via the Radioplayer app
-
On DAB Digital Radio across South Durham
For those unable to listen at the time, the programme will also be available to listen back at any time via the PBHR website.
The broadcast provides a calm and reflective moment during what can be a busy and emotional time of year, helping to bring the warmth and comfort of Christmas music to patients, visitors and staff alike.
