As part of National Apprenticeship Week (9–15 February 2026), the Training and Development Team hosted an awards ceremony to celebrate our Class of 2025 apprenticeship graduates last Monday (9 February 2026).

Apprenticeships continue to go from strength to strength across the Trust. We now work with 41 training providers, offering more than 200 apprenticeship programmes to support a wide range of roles and career pathways.

2025 highlights include:

  • 107 apprentices successfully completed their programme

  • 124 new apprentices started during the year

  • 19 new starters in the last three months alone

This year also saw the launch of several new programmes and our first completers in a number of apprenticeship pathways, including Healthcare Science Assistant (Level 2), Data Protection and Information Governance Practitioner (Level 4), Hospitality Manager (Level 4) and the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (Health & Social Care) Level 6.

Chairperson's Apprentice of the Year 2025

Congratulations to Dean Purvis-Smith, awarded Chairperson's Apprentice of the Year 2025.

Amy Hamilton and Chloe Robinson were runners-up.

Dean was recognised for his exceptional development throughout his apprenticeship and the significant professional and personal growth he has demonstrated.

Well done to all apprentices who completed their programmes this year. Your dedication and commitment are a credit to you and your teams.
