Over the weekend, several members of our Diabetic Eye Screening Team laced up their walking shoes to take part in a sponsored walk to Ingleton Waterfalls.

The 5-mile route took approximately 2.5 hours, winding through beautiful woodland and scenic views. The team even managed to enjoy an ice cream along the way!

The walk was a fantastic opportunity for the team to come together outside of work, enjoy the fresh air, and support a cause that makes a real difference.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who donated, encouraged, and supported the team, helping to make the day such a success.

The challenge doesn’t stop there.

Each member of the team is aiming to walk 100 miles during September, and there’s still time to show your support.

Donations can be made via the JustGiving page.

Any contribution, big or small, will be greatly appreciated and will directly benefit patients accessing diabetic eye screening services.

We’re proud of what they have achieved so far and the team now look forward to completing the remaining miles together.
