The Diabetic Eye Screening Team is celebrating success after winning joint first place at the St Edmund’s Church Christmas Tree Festival in Sedgefield on Saturday 29 November.
The team’s beautifully decorated tree captured the attention of visitors and judges alike.
This year's theme was Christmas and stories.
A special mention goes to Louise Stewart Diabetic Eye Screener, whose creativity brought the handmade design to life.
Thanks are also extended to local author Jade Byrne for kindly allowing the inclusion of her Daisy Donald story, which added a heartfelt touch to the display.
You can take a closer look at the team’s entry in this short video.
The team would like to share their gratitude with the event organisers, the local community, and judges Pam Royale and Jack Smith MBE for recognising their efforts.
Well done to everyone involved on this wonderful achievement.
