Patients and families on the children's ward at Darlington Memorial Hospital have received a thoughtful boost thanks to a generous donation from Emily Smith and those who supported her.
Emily donated a range of essential and comforting items to Ward 21, including nappies, gift bags, phone chargers, toiletries, rattles and crayons.
The items will provide practical support and help brighten the experience of children and families during their time in hospital.
Having previously spent time on Ward 21 with her own children, Emily wanted to give something back and support other families who may find themselves needing hospital care.
The donation has been warmly welcomed by patients, families and staff, with the practical items helping to meet some of the everyday needs of children and their families during their stay.
A huge thank you to Emily and everyone who contributed to the donation for their kindness, generosity and support.
Their thoughtful gesture will make a real difference to children and families using the children's ward at Darlington Memorial Hospital.
