Patients at University Hospital of North Durham (UHND), Darlington Memorial Hospital (DMH), and Bishop Auckland Hospital (BAH) may soon notice a new addition to their hospital stay - Patient Post Cards.
The Inpatient Physiotherapy Team has launched these post cards as part of an ongoing initiative to encourage patients to stay active while in hospital.
The cards provide important information about the benefits of movement and the risks associated with prolonged bed rest, helping to tackle inpatient deconditioning.
The post cards will be distributed to appropriate patients across the wards, supporting both patients and staff by reinforcing the message that staying mobile is a vital part of recovery.
