A patient is helping to raise funds for vital new equipment after donating three of her own pictures to the diabetic eye screening service.

Nancy, who uses the service, has put the artworks up for sale to support the purchase of a new slit lamp for the diabetic eye screening team at Stanley Primary Care.

A slit lamp is an important piece of specialist equipment used to examine the eyes. Nancy’s thoughtful contribution will help the team move closer to securing the new machine.

Her donation is a wonderful example of the difference patients can make, and the team is extremely grateful for her kindness and support.

Each picture has been individually priced. Anyone who would like to buy one and support the fundraising effort can visit or call Ward 9 at Bishop Auckland Hospital and ask for the diabetic eye screening team.

Thank you to Nancy for her generosity and for supporting this important service.
