Darlington town centre will see major travel disruptions on Sunday 3 August 2025, as the annual Darlington 10km Race and Fun Run return to the town’s streets.
The event will affect vehicle access across a wide area, with road closures starting from 6:00am and lasting as late as 2:00pm to ensure public safety.
The Fun Run begins at 8:30am, followed by the main 10km Race at 10:30am.
Hospital Access and Travel Advice
Staff, patients, and visitors to Darlington Memorial Hospital are advised to use Hollyhurst Road for vehicle access during event hours.
Emergency services have been informed and will have priority access throughout the day to ensure that urgent care is not disrupted.
Travellers are urged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and expect delays and diversions around the town centre.
