The Northern Training Consortium (NTC) will host its annual Scientist Training Programme (STP) Open Day on Saturday 10 January at The Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. The event is aimed at individuals interested in applying for the 2026 intake of the nationally recognised programme.

The Open Day will feature a series of talks covering the STP application process, available career pathways, and insights into the day-to-day experience of trainees.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore speciality-specific presentations and take part in an interactive ‘marketplace’ where they can meet members of the current trainee cohort.

Specialisms represented at the event will include:

  • Medical Physics

  • Clinical Engineering

  • Clinical Scientific Computing
