Do you, or someone you know, look after someone who couldn’t manage without your support?
A Carers Roadshow will take place this November – a valuable event dedicated to recognising and supporting those who give so much of themselves to care for others. The event is open to anyone who provides unpaid care for a loved one, friend or neighbour.
Many people don’t realise they are carers, even though they play a vital role in someone’s daily life. This event aims to help carers feel seen, supported and empowered.
The Carers Roadshow will bring together local organisations, health professionals and support services under one roof to offer:
- Practical advice and guidance tailored to unpaid carers
- Information about local resources and support services
- Opportunities to connect with others in similar roles
This is not only a chance for carers to access support, but also to take a moment for themselves – something that can often be difficult to prioritise.
If you know someone who may be providing unpaid care – even informally – please encourage them to come along. Attending could make a real difference in helping them access the support, information and community they may not even realise they’re entitled to.
County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is committed to recognising and supporting unpaid carers, ensuring they have access to the information, resources and wellbeing support they need.
