Students from Villa Real School have presented colleagues at Shotley Bridge Community Hospital with a special photography collage, celebrating the relationships they built during a visit to the ward as part of a community project.
The visit formed part of the school's "Together we learn, together we grow" project, which gives students the opportunity to spend time in the community, meet local NHS colleagues and capture photographs of people in their workplaces.
During their visit to the ward last year, the students spent time with members of the team, taking photographs of colleagues carrying out a variety of day-to-day roles.
They later transformed the images into a colourful collage, which they recently presented to the ward team as a thank you for supporting the project.
Louise West, Matron for Community Hospitals, said: "We had a fantastic time welcoming the students from Villa Real School to the ward. It was lovely to be part of their project and to see the collage they created from their visit. Thank you to the students and staff for taking the time to come back and present it to us."
The thoughtful artwork will serve as a lasting reminder of the visit and the positive partnership between the school and the hospital.
