As part of our ongoing commitment to health and wellbeing, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is proud to be a Smokefree Trust.
This means that smoking is not permitted anywhere on our sites, helping us maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Vape-friendly spaces
While smoking is not allowed, we are vape-friendly.
Visitors and colleagues are welcome to vape outside, provided this is done away from entrances and windows. This ensures that everyone can enjoy fresh, clean air when entering or leaving our buildings.
Support to quit smoking
If you’re ready to take the first step towards a healthier, smokefree life, help is available.
Evidence shows that your chances of quitting are much higher with the right support – whether that’s using a quitting aid, switching to vaping, or accessing guidance from a Stop Smoking Service.
