The toolkit was designed to help you make informed choices throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care, and to support you and your family to create a personalised care plan that reflects your needs and wishes.
One of the first choices you can make in pregnancy is where to have your baby. You have the choice to birth your baby where you choose. Your care team may make recommendations for where to birth your baby based on evidence and safety recommendation and you will be supported to make the decision that is right for you.
You can have your baby at home or in any hospital. You can watch a range of videos covering information about all the hospital maternity units in the North East and North Cumbria.
