Maternity & Neonatal Voices in Partnership (MNVP)
Are you pregnant and living in County Durham or Darlington? You can now self-refer to our maternity services online using BadgerNet – a fast, secure and convenient way to start your antenatal care.
Our new online portal means you no longer need to visit your GP to start your pregnancy care. By self-referring, you can:
You can complete the self-referral form at any time – day or night – using your phone, tablet, or computer. It’s quick, easy to use, and designed to fit around you.
Once you’ve submitted your form, your local community midwifery team will review your referral on the next working day. You’ll then be contacted to arrange your first midwife appointment, usually between 8 and 10 weeks into your pregnancy.
You’ll also receive access to your personal maternity record via the BadgerNotes app or website – keeping you informed and in control throughout your journey.
Watch the short video to hear one of our midwives explain how the new process works.
No problem. If you’d rather speak to someone directly, you can still contact your community midwifery team by phone during office hours to make a referral.
If you have any concerns about your pregnancy before your first appointment, please contact your GP or local hospital for advice, call 111 or 999 in an emergency.
Congratulations – and welcome to your maternity journey with CDDFT. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
