Money help
After breast surgery, many people feel sore or tender. A well-fitting bra can help with comfort and support.
We can arrange for you to see a breast care fitting expert from Amoena or Trulife. They are trained to help after breast surgery. They support mastectomy care, bras, prostheses, and swimwear.
Your first bra and prosthesis are free. You will need to pay for any extra items.
All appointments must be booked in advance. They take place in private and comfortable rooms in our Macmillan Information Centres at:
North East Knockers is a group of local volunteers. They knit and crochet soft breast prostheses called “Knitted Knockers”. “Knitted Knockers” are a soft, light, and comfortable alternative to silicone prostheses.
They are free, but donations are welcome.
